Teckna Group recently installed a new water well for the supply of water to Hansons PLC and Laing O’Rourke partnership for the production of concrete from Cannington that is to be part of the supply and construction program to the first in a new generation of UK nuclear power stations that EDF Energy plan to build.
The recently installed borehole has been so successful on producing flows with no contamination from the deep water supply that the water output is now being extended to produce over 20,000 litres per day.
This will allow the Cannington plant to increase production from this site to the new power station in line with the supply requirements imposed on them to provide this project with the concrete required.
