Teckna Group recently installed a new water well for the supply of water to Hansons PLC and Laing O’Rourke partnership for the production of concrete from Cannington that is to be part of the supply and construction program to the first in a new generation of UK nuclear power stations that EDF Energy plan to build. As part of this process we had to pass stringent health and safety audits by third party auditors as well as gaining individual Safety Passports under the Safety Pass Alliance programme for all personnel involved in the project. This along with our existing CSCS Cards, NVQ Drilling Personnel and standard Risk and method statements ensured a safe project for our operatives and other site personnel. The project was completed in three days for drilling, lining, pump installation with controls and connection to the existing storage tanks and is now able to provide the batching plant with all of its water needs for making concrete for the project.
